CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
A classic chocolate chip cookie with crisp edges, soft centers, and plenty of melted chocolate in every bite. These are the kind of cookies that disappear from the cooling rack almost as quickly as they come out of the oven.
INGREDIENTS
DRY INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
WET INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARE THE DOUGH
Preheat your oven to 375 F and lightly grease a dark baking pan.
In one bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients, including the chocolate chips.
In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft cookie dough forms.
BAKE
Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking pan, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden while the center remains soft.
COOL
Allow the cookies to rest on the baking pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
