CHILI

A hearty bowl of slow-simmered chili filled with colorful peppers, tender beef, and rich tomato flavor. It's the kind of comforting meal that makes chilly autumn evenings feel a little warmer.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can sweet corn
  • 1/2 to 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce

SPICES

  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Parsley
  • Chili powder
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

BROWN THE BEEF

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease if needed.

PREPARE THE VEGETABLES

Dice the peppers and white onion into bite sized pieces.

SLOW COOK

Add the browned ground beef, diced vegetables, diced tomatoes, sweet corn, kidney beans, pasta sauce, and all of the spices to your slow cooker.

Stir everything together until well combined.

Cover and cook of Low for 6 hours, allowing the flavors to slowly come together.

SERVE

Serve hot with your favorite side. Our favorite choices are Creamy mashed potatoes, warm cornbread or crunchy tortilla chips. Or top with shredded cheese and sour cream if you prefer to keep it simple.
