  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 2 egg , large
  • 15 ounces pumpkin puree , canned
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk

This classic pumpkin pie is made with pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, warm spices, and a simple 9-inch pie crust. The filling comes together in one bowl before baking until set, making it an easy autumn dessert for holiday tables and cozy gatherings.

INSTRUCTIONS

PREHEAT

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

MAKE THE FILLING

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and pumpkin puree together until combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, salt, ground ginger, and ground cloves.

Add the sugar and spice mixture to the pumpkin mixture and stir until combined.

Gradually stir in the evaporated milk until the filling is smooth and evenly mixed.

FILL THE PIE

Carefully pour the pumpkin filling into the unbaked 9-inch pie shell.

BAKE

Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 40 minutes.
