This easy cast iron skillet pizza has a thick, golden crust, melted mozzarella and all your favorite pizza toppings. Use homemade or premade pizza dough, build everything right in an oiled cast iron skillet, and bake until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARE THE SKILLET

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Lightly coat the bottom and sides of a cast iron skillet with olive oil.

BUILD THE PIZZA

Place the pizza dough in the skillet and gently stretch and press it outward until it fits the pan, working some of the dough slightly up the sides to create the crust.

Lightly brush or drizzle the top of the dough with olive oil.

Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving the outer edge uncovered for the crust.

Sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Add your favorite toppings and finish with seasonings such as Italian seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, or red pepper flakes if you'd like.

BAKE

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

SERVE

Let the pizza rest for a few minutes before slicing into 8 slices and serving.
